TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW
This is where it all began!
The very first Mediterranean Cup back in 2010 was a humble affair with just five boys’ teams. But growth was rapid and, by 2019, the number of boys’ teams was up to 36 and the hugely popular girls’ event had reached 25 teams! Numbers have continued to grow post-covid and we now routinely welcome more than 60 teams to Verona every year for the MS event.
This tournament is for u14s, playing 8-a-side. Teams are drawn into preliminary qualifying groups and play all other teams in their qualifying group. The top teams in each group then qualify for the final stages of the main tournament (‘Elite’ Bracket). Teams finishing in lower places qualify for the final stages of the ‘Champions’, ‘Europa’ or ‘Premier’ brackets.
